Five Star Bank Announces $4 Million Investment in Wyoming County Corporate Headquarters

Renovation of the Bank’s Warsaw headquarters and operations center reflects significant investment in Wyoming County

WARSAW, N.Y. – December 18, 2025 Office renovations at 220 Liberty Street.

Five Star Bank (the “Bank” or “Five Star”), a subsidiary of Financial Institutions, Inc. (Nasdaq: FISI) and an affiliate of wealth management firm Courier Capital, today announced the completion of a $4 million renovation of its corporate headquarters and operations center, located at 220 Liberty Street in Warsaw, reinforcing the bank’s long-term commitment to Western New York.

Renovations on the approximately 28,000 square foot facility began in February 2025 and transformed it into a modern corporate campus while reinforcing the Bank’s deep roots in the local community.

Birmingham. “Through this multi-million-dollar investment, we’ve transformed our corporate home into a modern space equipped with meeting spaces designed to fuel collaboration and sophisticated technology to allow us to connect with our customers and colleagues virtually. Importantly, as a top employer in Wyoming County, the reconfigured layout positions 220 Liberty to support our continued growth here well into the future.”

The renovated building features advanced technology infrastructure, collaborative workspaces, and energy-efficient systems. Key features include:
  • Reimagined Collaborative Workspaces: Open-office setting and flexible meeting areas designed to foster networking and innovation among colleagues, balancing both collaboration and privacy
  • Modern Technology Infrastructure: Video conferencing and high-speed connectivity and IT systems enabling seamless operations with colleagues and customers
  • Energy-efficient Systems: Intentional design that maximizes natural light and upgraded LED lighting with vacancy sensors to enhance energy efficiency
  • Environmentally-friendly Renovation: More than 65% of material from the demolition was diverted from landfills through recycling

The Bank partnered with a number of local and regional businesses on the project, including D.J. Beardsley & Sons, Inc., CJS Architecture, Gypsum System, Sedgwick Business Interiors and Kennedy Mechanical.

Five Star Bank employs over 100 people at this location and has maintained its headquarters in Warsaw throughout its evolution and growth. The Bank, which charts its history back to 1817, continues its legacy of community banking throughout the Western and Central New York regions through more than 50 banking locations.
