Spoofing Scams on the Rise

We and other local banks have observed an uptick in fraudulent phone calls, texts and other attempts to impersonate the bank and obtain confidential information.

Please be aware that we will NEVER call you and ask for your login credentials or security codes.

What is call spoofing?

Call spoofing, a type of social engineering, involves the manipulation of caller ID information to make a phone call appear as if it's coming from a trusted source, such as a financial institution. Cybercriminals use this deceptive technique to trick individuals into thinking they are receiving a legitimate call from their bank. The aim is to deceive you into providing sensitive information over the phone, posing a serious risk to the security of your personal and financial data.
